About the event
The Art Therapy Series by Toleaps.sg is a monthly thematic workshop held every first Sunday of the month.
As human beings, we have countless times realize that we are similar yet very different from one another. Our hopes, dreams, and wishes may resonate with others we encounter in our life journey, yet we find that we are similarly different and unique in our own ways. This constant opposite co-exists just as much as we are trying to live and be ourselves and maintain being a member of the society in a world filled with pressure to conform to societal expectations.
- What does it mean to be myself?
- Would knowing what I like and dislike be enough to know who I am as a person?
- What are some qualities of me that differentiates me from others, and at the same time allows me to feel a sense of belonging to a particular group of individual?
In this session, we explore these themes to unearth the many definitions and psychological concepts related to what it means to embody the Self we are in through airdry clay art experiential resonating back to being His creations made out of clay. In knowing the self better, we can start focusing on our personal goals and aspirations as we move into the new year despite the challenges and uncertainties that may emerge in the new year.
Participants will be provided with the following materials (but not limited to)*:
- Paulinda Superdough 40g clay (white, black, 4 color set – blue, white, red, yellow)
*Note: Participants are free to use other art materials provided within the space
