    • Khairun Atika Kamsan is a writer for contemporary adult fiction and poetry. She holds a Diploma in Law and Management from Temasek Polytechnic and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education from National Institute of Early Childhood Development. She is a kindergarten teacher by profession, and an avid reader and writer by passion. She enjoys reading a diverse variety of genres such as romance, mystery, thriller, fantasy and the classics, and would often share her book reviews on her Instagram page, @khairun_atika_writes. She has always been inspired to write a novel ever since she was young. In order to pursue her passion for literature, she also graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Literature from Singapore University of Social Sciences.

      Khairun Atika also enjoys interacting with the community, particularly with children. From 2005 to 2015, she served as a community volunteer in the People’s Association Youth Movement, where she organized events such as the Adopt-a-Home, an outreach program for residents of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Home for the Disabled, and the Little Chefs program, a cooking program for the little residents of Tampines Central. She chose to continue to pursue her passion for working with children as she entered the Early Childhood industry, to educate children on early literacy and children’s literature, among other things.

      Khairun Atika dreams of being a writer of novels, and also hopes to instill the love and passion for language and literacy in young children. She hopes to design and curate a curriculum that focuses on children’s literature. She can usually be found in bookshops, libraries and cafes for brunch. She spends most of her time with her loved ones, enjoying a good book, watching a Jane Austen series or movie adaptations, or listening to musicals. She believes in the power of stories and verses in bringing people together.
